The Dublin Book Festival returns to Farmleigh in the Phoenix Park this August Bank Holiday weekend, offering a full day of outdoor fun for children and families. Set on the scenic lawns behind the house, the event brings together some of Ireland’s best-loved authors and illustrators for readings, workshops and creative play.
Highlights include sessions with Oisín McGann, Tarsila Krüse and Bex Sheridan, bilingual storytelling with Sadhbh Rosenstock, and live cooking fun with Jolene and Lily Mae Cox. There’s also a Book Clinic with Children’s Books Ireland, a drop-in music workshop with Music Generation Dublin City, puppet shows, scavenger hunts, and hands-on crafts.
The event is free but ticketed, with optional donations to support future festivals. Just bring your picnic blanket and a love of stories.
