National Drawing Day at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum

Things to do in County Dublin Dublin, Ireland - National Drawing Day at Glasnevin Cemetery Museum - YourDaysOut

⭐️Special 'National Drawing Day' Tour on Saturday, May 18th⭐️ We are giving a nod to National Drawing Day on Saturday, May 18th. The initiative aims to open up art to all and it is a nationwide event. To celebrate the day itself here in Glasnevin Cemetery, we will be putting an added focus on the beautiful architecture and sculpture found in abundance throughout the site on our Dead Interesting tour. Glasnevin Cemetery is home to countless intricate monuments and the largest collection of Celtic crosses in the world. Although this event is a tour, for those among you who are quite creative, there will be plenty on offer to sketch or photograph as you wander through Ireland's largest cemetery with your guide. We will also be giving any attendees on the Drawing Day Dead Interesting tour a complimentary copy of the book, 'Glasnevin Celtic Crosses - A Selection', by Peter Harbison. You will learn of its sculpture, symbolism, architecture, art, sporting heroes, natural life and much more.
