The annual Rose Festival is a fantastic free day out for all the family.
The festival is held in the beautiful surroundings of St Anne’s Park with its Rose Garden and scenic walks. The Rose Garden was opened in 1975. Lots of species of roses are grown here, including a selection of hybrid tea and floribunda roses
The annual Rose Festival, a family fun day out, is held the 3rd weekend of July, named after the International Rose Festival that used to be held in the Rose Garden.
Visitors can enjoy colourful floral displays, live music, children’s entertainment, arts and crafts, climbing activities, fitness sessions, food stalls and the popular Biodiversity Village, where conservation and environmental organisations will showcase Ireland’s wildlife and natural heritage.
With thousands of roses in bloom, free activities throughout the weekend and plenty to see and do for all ages, the Rose Festival is one of Dublin’s most popular summer family events.
Admission is free, with activities taking place from 10am to 6pm each day.
