Animation Dingle 2025 Kicks Off with Passion-Fueled 13th Edition

DINGLE, IRELAND – Animation Dingle 2025 is ready to dazzle the animation world with its 13th edition,
embracing the theme of ‘Passion,’ the driving force behind the power of animation. Presented by JAM
Media with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland as the official partner, this year’s festival promises to be an
unmissable event for animation professionals and students.

With support from Enterprise Ireland, Animation Dingle 2025 attracts industry giants from Japan, the
U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, and Canada. As an Academy Awards®-qualifying festival, the event will
feature renowned companies such as Disney, Netflix, Nickelodeon, and BBC, offering invaluable
opportunities for students and professionals.

Speaking about this year’s programme theme Passion, Director of Animation Dingle, Maurice Galway
said “This year, at Animation Dingle, we are thrilled to explore the theme of 'Passion', as it resonates
deeply within the heart of animation itself. We celebrate how passion fuels the people of our industry,
how it transforms ideas into art and brings them to life through the world of animation.”

● Animations shorts Oscar-nominated 2025, Beautiful Men, Yuck! and Wander to Wonder.
● Feature films Kensuke’s Kingdom (starring Cillian Murphy), Memoir of a Snail (Oscar -nominated
2025), and Chicken for Linda!
Workshops & Presentations:
● The Art of Stop-Motion Fabrication with Georgina Hayns (Del Toro’s Pinocchio).
● Life Drawing with Morph hosted by Aardman’s Peter Lord.

Animation Dingle Art Auction for UNICEF
Animation Dingle’s chosen charity this year is UNICEF. Following the amount of €40,000 raised for
UNICEF in 2024, this year’s auction with works donated by students and festival guests, aims to surpass
that milestone, showcasing artwork from world-renowned animators.

Now in its 13th year, Animation Dingle Co-Founder, John Rice, CEO of Jam Media reflects "Each year, we
come together to not only showcase outstanding work but to build connections, inspire the next
generation of animators, and push the boundaries of storytelling. This year, we are excited to bring the
theme of passion to Animation Dingle, and we hope everyone leaves inspired by the level of creativity
and innovation in the festival."
