Mid-Kerry Biddy's Festival
Mid-Kerry Biddy’s Day Festival 2026
The Mid-Kerry Biddy’s Day Festival returns to Killorglin for a weekend of family friendly celebrations rooted in Imbolc and St Brigid traditions. Running across the town and surrounding areas, the festival blends craft, music, storytelling and ritual, creating a lively but welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
Saturday is the busiest day for families, with a full programme of daytime workshops including cross making, Brídeóg doll making, bodhrán and ogham activities and hands on craft sessions. Many events are designed for children to take part alongside adults, encouraging creativity, shared learning and a connection to seasonal traditions. The afternoon builds towards the Biddy’s Parade through Killorglin, followed by fire performances and music in the evening.
Sunday marks Lá Fhéile Bríde with gentler, reflective activities suited to families. The programme includes a sunrise sea offering, Brigid’s Cross making and a children’s Biddy Ball, offering space to celebrate renewal and the arrival of spring at a slower pace. With events spread across indoor and outdoor locations, the weekend provides a strong mix of colour, culture and hands on activity for families visiting or living in the area.
