About Monaghan Rhythm & Blues Festival
The 24th Annual Blues festival takes place in Monaghan from the 6th-8th September 2019.
Get ready for four days of celebrating the blues, the music that gave birth to rock 'n' roll, when this little piece of the Mississippi comes to Ireland.
During the first weekend in September, Monaghan Town will capture the spirit of the mighty Mississippi as blues music flows through the town.
The Market House will host the Acoustic Room, where you can get up close and personal with five international blues artists who reside in this 18th-century building.
The Late Night Marquee will host international US blues bands over three nights. There will be full bar facilities in a comfortable surrounding with benches and seating.
After just about all the blues you can handle, the festival will come to a close with the Survivors' Nights on a Monday night, with featured artists over the festival weekend taking us on the journey home and leaving the shores of the Mississippi behind as a memory.
