The National Ploughing Championships return to Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from 15th - 17th September for the 95th edition of Ireland's largest outdoor event. Following a successful return to Offaly in 2025, the championships once again bring together farming, machinery, livestock, food, innovation and entertainment over three days, attracting visitors from across Ireland and beyond.
At the heart of the event are the national ploughing competitions, where more than 350 competitors showcase their skills across a wide range of classes. Beyond the competition fields, visitors can explore hundreds of trade stands featuring agricultural machinery, technology, home and garden products, food producers, crafts, education and rural businesses. Livestock displays, forestry, sustainability and innovation zones also form a major part of the event.
Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the championships, with live entertainment, food demonstrations, shopping, children's attractions, animal displays and opportunities to meet exhibitors from every corner of Irish agriculture and rural life. Whether visiting for the ploughing, the shopping, the food or simply a day out, the National Ploughing Championships continues to be one of Ireland's biggest annual events, offering something for farmers, families and visitors of all ages.
