The Victorian Christmas Experience returns to Strokestown Park where the rooms of the Palladian mansion are dressed for the season and shaped around stories from the Victorian era. The event offers a calm and atmospheric setting that feels rooted in the house’s history with each space adding small details that help families settle into the experience. From carefully restored interiors to soft seasonal lighting, the house creates a sense of Christmas that feels both traditional and familiar.
Visitors follow a guided route through the mansion as characters introduce elements of Victorian life and share moments that connect the house to the season. The experience is designed to be gentle and engaging for all ages with a balance of conversation, decoration and interactive touches. Children are given time to explore each room without rush while adults can take in the finer details of the historic surroundings.
The event runs across selected dates in November and December with sessions arranged across weekends and a premium weekend in the run up to Christmas. Each booking includes full access to the experience with an optional professional family portrait with Santa available for an additional charge. This upgrade can be booked online in advance or arranged on the day along with a small selection of festive keepsakes.
Guests are advised that occasional changes to the running order or itinerary may be required. In such cases Strokestown Park will inform visitors as soon as possible.
