So Funny Sligo Comedy Festival
Sligo has a brand new festival...the ‘So Funny Sligo Comedy Festival’ is coming your way from October 2nd to 5th and has an array of shows to cater for all ages. The Brainchild of Brendan Tierney, who has been involved in numerous Sligo events and festivals, the festival is expected to attract large crowds from around the country. It's something I've always dreamed of and this is the first time I’m running my own festival. Comedy is a huge love of mine and for years I’ve always wanted a Comedy Festival in the Northwest' says Brendan. Kilkenny, Galway and Dublin have amazing comedy festivals, so I decided there is no reason we can’t have one in the Northwest”, he adds. The festival has a mix of local and national household names over four nights.
