Clonmel Junction Festival
Over the course of ten days Clonmel Junction Festival presents a programme of events including live music, theatre, street performance, comedy, visual art, food events and much, much more.
Clonmel Junction Arts Festival was founded in 2001 to celebrate touring theatre and live music.
It is the pre-eminent arts organisation in Clonmel, providing a platform for regional and national artists, the infrastructure to develop a body of professional arts workers in the town, and a hub for national and international artists to share space and ideas with a large urban town at the heart of a rural hinterland.
A multi-disciplinary Arts Festival, CJAF celebrates the town of Clonmel and the talented artists who live and work here. The ‘junction’ of the title refers to bringing people together: audiences and artists, local and international companies, town and country.
In 2023, we are delighted to have live performance for live audiences, bringing the best of local and regional art together with exciting national and international work in a programme that promises to entertain and entrance you.
Hightlights this year include King, the story of Luther, a man from Cork named in honour of his Granny Bee Baw’s hero, Dr Martin Luther King Jr; River of Music, River Of Memories, a Virtual Reality experience where you travel down the Suir River and are immersed in music and storytelling; live music with Steve Wickham & Jane Willow with Scott Flannigan and even a drumming workshop and lots more.
