Christmas is always an exciting time at Waterford Suir Valley Railway. You can visit Santa following a trip on a real train for the best Santa experience. Santa is looking forward to meeting all the boys and girls and their families at Kilmeadan Station this Christmas 2025.
The Santa Express Experience
The Santa Express returns to Waterford Suir Valley Railway, offering families a magical train journey beside the River Suir and Waterford Greenway. Departing from Kilmeadan Station, the festive ride brings visitors to the Magic Wood, where Mrs Claus waits with fairy dust to help Santa find your house on Christmas night.
Back at the station, children can meet Dasher the reindeer and enjoy photo opportunities before visiting Santa’s cosy railway cottage. Each family is called for a private meeting with Santa, where children receive a high quality gift and the chance to take a photo. The Whistlestop Café will be serving hot chocolate and home baked treats from Mrs Claus throughout the day.
