The Dublin Horse Show returns this August with five days of top-class sport, style and entertainment at the RDS. While the showjumping and equestrian displays are a big draw, there’s also plenty on offer for families looking for a summer day out in the city.
Children can look forward to pony club games, meet-and-greets with animals and family-friendly shows in the main arena. The Lead Rein and First Ridden Pony classes are a treat to watch, with young riders proudly showing off their skills. There’ll be daily appearances from favourites like Festina Lente and Santi Serra, whose performances mix horsemanship with a real sense of fun.
Off the track, the RDS comes alive with music, craft stalls, food stands and plenty of space to explore. From treasure hunts and judging competitions to musical pony rides and the Parade of Champions, the show blends tradition and fun in a way that’s hard to beat. Whether it’s your first visit or a yearly tradition, it’s a summer day the whole family will enjoy.
