Hook Lighthouse Announces Easter Sunday Family Fun Day
Hook Lighthouse will host a fantastic day of family fun this Easter Sunday, April 5th 2026, inviting families to celebrate the season with games, creativity and coastal adventure at one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks.
Little adventurers can take part in a super-fun FREE Easter Treasure Hunt around the lighthouse grounds. Children will follow clues and explore the area in search of hidden surprises, but there’s a twist — if the young treasure hunters get the Treasure Quest wrong, the adults may be called upon to walk the plank!
Alongside the games and outdoor fun, visitors can also enjoy Easter arts and crafts sessions with resident artist Rose, offering a creative experience for all ages. Children’s art workshops with Rose are available from €10 per person, while beginner adult art sessions start from €15 per person.
The arts sessions will run across the Easter weekend on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9.30 am until 4.00 pm, providing plenty of opportunities for families and visitors to take part.
Hook Lighthouse tours and the café will also be open as usual, making it the perfect spring day out by the sea for families, friends and visitors of all ages.
Families are encouraged to come along, enjoy the festive atmosphere and make the most of a memorable Easter Sunday at Hook Lighthouse.
