Portrush Raft Race Weekend
37 years of raft racing in aid of the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea.
One of the most popular family fun days on the North Coast. Large crowds of spectators gather to watch as the ‘home-made’ rafts race from the West Strand beach to the finishing line in the harbour.
The main event is supported by many other side attractions, including the Junior Raft Race at 10.00am and speciality stalls throughout the day. So come along, bring the family and support the Portrush Lifeboats.
Fun for all the Family
We’ve a huge amount planned for the weekend. There’s guaranteed to be something for everyone to enjoy.
Tours of current and historic Lifeboats
Tours of Portrush Lifeboat, William Gordon Burr are subject to emergency response requirements. Historic Joseph Soar Lifeboat was withdrawn from service in 1990, throughout her life she was launched 135 times and saved 135 lives.

One for our Raft Race stars of the future. Fun mini-races in the safety of the harbour.
