Dublin Zoo is set to come alive with spooky surprises and eerie adventures this Halloween as Boo at the Zoo returns for the midterm break.
Running from 25th October to 1st November, the event promises a week of family-friendly frights, with everything from scavenger hunts and pumpkin carving to discos, keeper talks and costumed fun.
Running daily throughout the event, the Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt invites families to follow story-led trails with 15 checkpoints hidden around the zoo. Solve riddles, scan QR codes and crack clues for a chance to win one of two annual passes.
Pumpkin carving takes place from 25th - 27th October at the Haunted House (formerly Haughton House), with separate sessions for younger and older children. Little ones can decorate with paints and stickers, while older children carve their own jack-o’-lanterns. Pre-booking is required.
From 29th - 31st October, the Bone Zone at the Snow Leopard Habitat offers hands-on activities and biofacts in celebration of World Snow Leopard Day. It’s a chance to learn more about the species while joining in the Halloween fun.
On Halloween Day, 31st October, children in costume go free with a full-paying adult. From 11am to 3pm, face painting will be available at Zoorassic World, turning little monsters into ghouls, ghosts and wild creatures.
Tickets can be booked online or purchased at the gate. Early booking is advised.
