Airfield Estate Harvest Fair

The Harvest Festival returns to Airfield Estate this weekend with a brilliant mix of farming, food and family fun. Opera Collective Ireland brings Cautionary Tales for Children to Mermaid Arts Centre this Saturday, a wickedly funny opera perfect for families with children aged 7 and up. Based on Hilaire Belloc’s classic poems, the 50-minute show brings the mischief of Matilda, Jim, Henry and Rebecca to life with catchy music, clever storytelling and plenty of laughs.
Clonsilla Heritage Festival

Carlingford Viking Experience

Step back in time as the Village Green in Carlingford transforms into a Viking camp this weekend with live re-enactments, the Ardglass Longboat, street performances, markets and hands-on family fun from 12 to 5 each day. Part of National Heritage Week, all events are free and supported by the Heritage Council and Carlingford Lough Heritage Trust. Families can also enjoy free guided castle tours on selected dates and explore John Hanlon’s Vintage Museum for a closer look at classic engineering. It’s a brilliant way to celebrate Carlingford’s rich history with fun and learning for all ages.
Harvest Festival & Family Fun Day

Sligo Folk Park hosts its second annual Harvest Festival and Family Fun Day this weekend with traditional crafts, games, music and great food for all ages. Kids can try their hand at pottery with Big Red the wheel, while spinners, basket weavers and other crafters give live demos throughout the day. There’ll be harvest games like turf footing, potato picking and a penalty shoot out, alongside craft stalls, live music and the return of the popular pig on a spit for an extra tasty treat.
