At Collins Barracks, Dublin, families can set off on a ‘Museum in Bloom’ trail, solving puzzles and riddles inspired by the museum’s gardens. On Saturday and Sunday, free guided tours offer a deeper dive into the fascinating history of the collection, with expert guides bringing the past to life.
For those interested in Medieval history, Kildare Street Museum hosts a Drop-In Workshop: Medieval Knights and Ladies on Friday, 21 February from 11am to 1pm. Learn about the tradition of love tokens and create your own to take home.

Alpaca Walking

Visitors can meet friendly alpacas and take a leisurely stroll through a picturesque wildlife corridor, surrounded by the great outdoors for a unique and relaxing experience.
The day begins with an alpaca meet-and-greet in the farmyard before a gentle walk through open fields and a young forest. Guests can sometimes try their hand at traditional skills like carding and spinning wool from Border Leicester sheep and alpacas and may even get the chance to milk a goat or feed baby lambs and kid goats.
Alpaca walks are open to those aged 16 and over, with one adult permitted to bring a child aged 12–16 along for the experience.
