The Donabate Portrane Summer Festival returns from 7th to 9th August 2026 with a packed programme of family-friendly entertainment and community celebrations. Organised by local volunteers, the festival brings together residents and visitors for a fun-filled weekend featuring activities for all ages.
Across the three days, festivalgoers can enjoy a lively funfair, street entertainment, live music and dance performances from local and visiting acts, as well as magic shows, bingo, craft fairs and food stalls. Families can also take part in novelty races, kite-making activities and enjoy a variety of attractions throughout the festival grounds.
The festival is designed to be inclusive for everyone, including a dedicated sensory evening for visitors with additional needs. Other attractions include exotic animal displays, community activities and a spectacular fireworks display that lights up the weekend.
The festival also links with Swim Ireland’s open water swimming event, which takes place on the Sunday, adding to the variety of activities on offer. With its welcoming atmosphere and strong community spirit, the Donabate Portrane Summer Festival continues to be one of the most popular family events of the summer.
