Woolapalooza Sheep & Farm Festival
Woolapalooza Farm Festival returns to Airfield Estate, Dundrum, Dublin this May Bank Holiday Weekend!
Join us on Sunday 6th and Bank Holiday Monday 7th May at Dublin’s most unique suburban farming festival which has expanded for 2018 and this year, the 38-acre food and farm destination will host an array of events for all the family. Tickets are bought on the gate and are €10 per adult and €5 per child and under 3 go free!
Group rates are also available.
Thrilling sheepdog trials with Denis Birchall, Ireland’s One Man & His Dog Champion, Barber Rodney and his super sheep shears, live music and dancing at the Woolapalooza Céilí, drop-in craft sessions for kids and adults, butchery and bakery demonstrations, Fire & Grill BBQ all day with Robin Gill and Luke Matthews, heritage house tours and storytelling, gardening tours, a giant knitting bee, yarn bombing, craft stalls, brunch in Overends Kitchen and so much more.

Sheep Salon
Watch Denis and Tweed the famous sheepdog round-up the Airfield herd in the sheepdog trials and bring them in for their annual salon appointment with Rodney the sheep shearer.
Down on the Farmyard
Take part in the daily farmyard activities including egg collection, Jersey herd milking and tasting, animal feeding and donkey grooming.
Woolapalooza Live Céilí
Throw on the dancing wellies and take to the floor at the Woolapalooza Live Céilí and enjoy our traditional music and dance
Dine & Drink
Grab a mouth-watering breakfast or lunch in Overends Kitchen, sip on Airfield milky lattes from the Stables Cafe. Tuck into baked delights, and enjoy the smoky goodness of the all-day BBQ with world renowned Chef Robin Gill and Airfield’s Culinary Lead Luke Matthews. Sample delicious goodies from some of Airfield’s favourite suppliers.
Farm & Garden Tours
Get down and dirty with farm tours in the company of the Airfield farmers and catch the fascinating display of vintage farm machinery. Join the Airfield gardeners for a stroll around the ornamental and food gardens and pick up some great tips along the way. Drop into one of the many food, farming, safety, science and gardening talks happening throughout the festival.
Make & Play
Wander through lots of inspiring arts and crafts stalls and drop into one of the kids or adults craft clubs running throughout the day. Enjoy face-painting*, old fashioned family games on the lawn, a 27 metre zip line, outdoor play areas for kids of all ages and help search the Estate for the missing Sheep.
Farm Kitchen
Churn it up with butter making or master your knife skills at the butchery demonstrations or bakery demos.
Our Heritage
Take a heritage tour of Airfield House and learn about the incredible Overend sisters who left Airfield Estate in trust to the people of Ireland.
Wild’n’Woolly
Get your wool on and take part in the giant knitting bee, or spin and weave your way through the wool demonstrations. Make sure to check out the yarn bombing installations and the textile exhibition.
