The Limerick International Food Truck Festival is the first dedicated festival of its kind to take place in Ireland and will be based in the heart of Limerick city’s People’s Park from 1st-5th June 2017.
An explosion of international cuisine during the event as more than 60 food trucks from 14 countries take part in the European Food Truck Association’s annual festival along with local and national traders
Thursday 1st June
- The Food Trucks will set up on Thursday 1st of June and be ready to go from 5 p.m in the heart of Limerick city in the beautiful People’s Park.
- Live music will be provided throughout the weekend.
- Amusements and entertainement will fill the park to ensure a family friendly weekend.
Friday 2nd June
- Food Trucks will be open for business from 11am- 11pm with live music
- “The Story of Limerick Ham” – “Pigtown Festival will also take place
- Local and International Craft beers will be on offer and the Inaugural International Craft Beer Competition will be launched. Food Trucks will remain open until 11p.m.
Saturday 3rd June
- Food trucks will be open for business from 11 am with live music
- International Food Truck competition begins with 20 different categories. The jury will consist of volunteers from general members of the public to food critics.
- Food trucks will remain open until 11pm.
Sunday 4th June
- Food trucks will be open for business from 11 am with live music
- ‘The cook off’ – Two international food trucks will be tasked with creating a dish from local produce presented to them. The food truckers will have an hour to create a dish. The dish will be voted on by members of the public present.
- Family events, music and food will continue until 11 pm.
Monday 5th June
- Food trucks will be open for business but will close down in early afternoon to accommodate travelling back to the continent.
