The Irish Game and Country Fair
This event took place in Galway in June 2019
In 2018, for one year only, it has been decided to combine our ROI and NI Fairs into one huge celebratory event to celebrate 40 years of Irish Game Fairs in Antrim in June.
It is planned that, with your help, we can deliver the largest Irish Game Fair EVER and a REAL SHOWCASE to PROMOTE & DEFEND IRISH COUNTRYSPORTS and the RURAL WAY of LIFE.
The ROI Fair will return to a new larger venue in the Irish Midlands the 24/25 August 2019.
The Irish Game and Country Fair and Living History Festival is a national celebration of rural pastimes and culture featuring country sports, rural crafts, artisan food and drinks and local history.
The Great Game Fairs of Ireland are famed for being the centres of Irish country life. Lifestyle aficionados often make their way to the grand, historic estate of Birr Castle to live the good life.
On the last weekend in August, head down to County Offaly to see it for yourself; there'll be international country sports competitions and displays aplenty, a tented village with fine food and craft stands, and a Living History Festival featuring a historic village, medieval jousting and reenactments.
If you are a keen shooter or hunter, you will enjoy entering various world-class competitions with equally world-class prize funds.
Live the horse-and-hound lifestyle in all its messy, mucky glory; pack your wellies and pull up your britches - it is going to be good, old-fashioned, tally-ho fun.
