Inspired by the creative energy of Ireland’s Northwest, Cairde Sligo Arts Festival is a unique coming together of artists and audiences. It is a celebration of imagination and shared experience that welcomes all.
Cairde Sligo Arts Festival will take place this year from July 1st to 10th with a fully live affair featuring new work, exclusive commissions and events spanning music, theatre, dance, visual art, street theatre and more.
Some of the festival highlights for 2022 include Crossing Skin, a new festival commission of an atmospheric and intimate dance installation from award winning dance innovators Junk Ensemble, Still Floating, the Irish premiere of BBC and Edinburgh Fringe award-winning Shôn Dale Jones’s witty and topical new play, writing workshops with Bernie McGill and Jan Carson, the Transcendent Documents, our first large scale open air exhibition and much more.
The beautiful surrounds of Sligo’s Peace Park will once again be the setting for a two-day Cairde in the Park (formerly Park Fest) on 2nd & 3rd July, which promises a feast of fun with a packed programme featuring live music, circus, theatre, dance, family yoga, DJ’s, interactive play and delicious locally sourced food
