The annual Belfast St Patrick's Day carnival parade will be held on Saturday 17 March 2018, bringing together sporting and cultural societies, community and voluntary associations, youth, church, and parent groups, and individual performers in one of the city's largest, most vibrant parades. The theme for the 2018 carnival parade is 'Global Belfast'.

The streets will be awash with colour as the parade departs from Royal Avenue at 11.30am and finishes at Writers Square. The parade will leave from Royal Avenue, travelling through Castle Junction and along Donegall Place before snaking its way around Belfast City Hall, and then returning along the same route again, finishing at Royal Avenue.

After the parade, there will be a free-to-access concert from 1.30pm.

Visitors can make their way to Custom House Square to enjoy the annual concert, hosted by Q Radio presenters Gareth Stewart and Eoghan Quigg and featuring local musicians and dancers, along with special guest appearances. Local bands The Rare Aul' Stuff, Pure Blarney and JORD and Takana will provide musical entertainment, whilst Tir Na n-Og and Slidestep offer high-energy Irish dance performances before the concert comes to a close with a set from headliner, former JLS member and Strictly Come Dancing star Aston Merrygold.

Come along, get involved and join in with the St Patrick's Day celebrations!
