Princess Brunch

Young princess fans are in for a treat at Kidspace Rathcoole this Sunday, where Cinderella and Belle will host a magical morning of music, dancing and princess fun. Bike Week
Ireland | May 10th-18th

Bike Week 2025 finishes strong with a weekend full of family-friendly events and activities.

Whether you’re gliding through parks, pedalling to a pancake breakfast or joining a kids’ bike parade, there’s something to get everyone moving. Highlights this weekend include Pedal for your Medal, a virtual cycling challenge, a Kids Cycle Treasure Hunt in Bonny Glen, Donegal, the Donaghmede Park Family Cycle and plenty more across the country.

The Battle for Bunratty
Clare | May 18th

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park will echo with the clash of swords and the roar of the crowd on Sunday, 18th May, as knights from across Ireland return for a day of full-contact medieval combat.

Visitors can cheer on the Knights of Munster, the Fragarach Fighters from Dublin and the Black and Back 1316 team of Athenry as they battle it out in one-on-one duels and group melees. The event promises plenty of excitement, with fierce rivalries and dramatic showdowns throughout the day. The medieval camp will also be open to the public, offering a glimpse into life in the Middle Ages and a chance to support your chosen champion with a token of favour.

Combat sessions will take place from 11am to 1.30pm and again from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Balmoral Show
Lisburn | May 14th-17th

The Balmoral Show returns to Lisburn this week with four packed days celebrating Northern Ireland’s farming and food culture. Families can expect live arena displays, prize-winning livestock, cookery demos and plenty of entertainment for all ages.

Children will love the dedicated play areas, live shows and interactive exhibits, while adults can explore hundreds of trade stands, sample local produce and enjoy a brilliant day out in the countryside.

An Tóstal
Galway | May 17th-18th

An Tóstal returns to Salthill this weekend, bringing a weekend of traditional sailing and seaside fun to Galway Bay. On Saturday from 12 to 4pm, Galway Hookers will take to the water while families can enjoy the Tiny Traders market and entertainment along the prom.

Sunday runs from 11.30am to 6pm with traditional currach racing, more Hooker sailing and a full family fun day with stalls and activities stretching the length of the seafront. The event is organised by Galway Hooker Sailing Club, The Village Salthill and Galway Bay Boat Tours.

Harold's Cross Community Festival
Dublin | May 17th-18th

The Harold’s Cross Community Festival returns with a weekend of live music, local performances and family fun. Set in Harold’s Cross Park, this year’s festival explores the theme Roots and Future with shows, workshops and exhibitions for all ages.

Boyne Valley Viking Experience
Meath | May 17th & 18th

The Boyne Valley Viking Experience brings a thrilling day of history and adventure to Slane Castle this Saturday, with the largest re-enactment festival of its kind in Ireland. Over 500 Vikings from across Europe will gather for battles, crafts, storytelling and living history displays the whole family can enjoy.

Children can take part in treasure hunts and archery while adults explore the Viking village, watch blacksmiths and longship crews at work or hear sagas told by Skalds. With music, food and fierce warriors taking to the field, it’s a full day of action for all ages in the heart of the Boyne Valley.
