The Ark Open Farm returns this Easter with an immersive family experience that combines seasonal farm life with hands-on activities and outdoor adventure. Set in the countryside near Newtownards, the event brings together animal encounters, creative play and Easter-themed trails in a setting designed for younger visitors and families.
A highlight of the visit is the chance to meet and bottle feed baby lambs, offering a close-up experience of spring on the farm. Children can then step into the Little Farmers Shed, where a series of interactive stations invite them to take part in activities such as planting sunflowers, collecting eggs, grooming animals and exploring playful farm tasks designed to encourage curiosity and imagination.
Across the farm, families can follow the Easter trail through a decorated garden, searching for hidden eggs before meeting the Easter Bunny and receiving a chocolate reward, with alternative options available. Additional activities include egg decorating, bunny headband crafts and a forest trail with clues to solve along the way.
An optional teddy workshop allows children to create and take home a keepsake bunny or chick, adding an extra layer to the experience. With timed entry but all-day access once inside, the event offers a flexible and engaging day out, combining outdoor exploration, animal interaction and creative play throughout the Easter holidays.
