Coolwood Wildlife Park and Wildlife Sanctuary in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland is a 50 acre complex, with a 10 acre Wildlife Park and a 40 acre Wildlife Sanctuary. With a delightful Coffee Shop.
The Park is ideally appointed for School Tours, family outings and corporate day trips.
The park inhabitants are many and varied, many being a long way from home but all enjoying the pleasant surroundings in this thoughtfully managed facility.
Here you can meet many animal favourites including monkeys, lemurs, meerkats, raccoons, prairie dogs, maras, llama, alpacas, pygmy goats.
Coolwood Wildlife Sanctuary
This beautiful heavily wooded area is a stronghold of the red squirrel, sparrow hawks, dippers and the more common native wildlife species.
Here also you will find the cunning fox, the hare and badger and on occasions a visiting stag and his ladies, down from the surrounding hills in search of free fodder.
It is an ideal place to take the family for a visit with a children's playground and wonderful picnic areas with some spectacular views.
